ICONS

The iconographic fund is very important. It is principally made up of the 40 000 religious documents gathered by the Fathers Cahier and Martin during the 19th century.

It contains engravings from the 16th century’s as well as photographs from the 20th, holy pictures from the 19th and popular imagery.

The old and new Testaments are represented. Many icons are dedicated to the Virgin and the Saints.

The latter are classified by name, from Saint Amand to Saint Zuirard.
