Since the 1990’s, the BmL has maintained partnerships with Chinese libraries. Over the years, these relationships have been confirmed by the signature of memoranda of cooperation with the libraries of Guangzhou, Taipei, Shanghai and Beijing.

These partnerships have translated into:

• visits by librarians from partner libraries;
• the reciprocal donation of new works;
• cultural cooperation (exhibitions etc.);
• attendance at conferences;
• etc.
